  Have you tried what is essentially a Stridex pad and an antibiotic ointment? The wipe should be used every 12 to 72 hours. The drying afterwards is a most important part. Can the dog lose weight?
  
  Try Googling "Skin fold dermatitis". Our oldest guy has this problem, and with a little maintenance we've been able to contain it.

    so the salyicylic acid wont hurt the skin?? other then that, it sounds ok. keeping it dry is tuff but Im trying!!

      What works for us is a vet product called Malaseb Pledgets. Our vet indicated their use. Sorry; I don't know the chemistry involved.
